This post was in a draft from a few weeks ago.. I wanted to just post it unfinished so the photo's would make it on-line. Since then.. well. Quick point format it is!!
Chris is away on business again. He came home for a few weeks, and is gone for another couple. He's been gone a few days and I still have my witts, give me a few more and I may not.
We drove Isabella to Grande Prairie, and then a week later we picked her back up in Grimshaw. She had a great time with her Mimi and Papa. Her cousins came for a visit, as well as her Dad and his family. She spent some good q-time with them, and is still talking about how cute her little sister is.
I didn't have to do the drive alone the second time, thank goodness. Someone was not a happy camper to be in the truck again so soon for such a long period of time. I should officially be up for the Miss Entertainer of the year award any day now. Both trips were long, but fun.
Sydney is still 4, funny and fabulous. Her latest out of the blue comment to her sister.. "chop chop smellerella". As in hurry up. She cracks me up. She is into "name calling" lately, which I am trying to break, but it's hard when she comes out with the zingers.
Jackson is drinking whole milk exclusively now (no more formula, can I get a hip hip hooray!) in a sippy cup no less, sleeping through the night, not even close to walking, has really fat little feet to which no baby shoes will fit (what the.. I can't be the only mother with this problem??), and is turning into a real funny little dude.
I am running alot these days, trying to get into shape (and lose those last 20 or so). I am up to 5 miles + a day, 5 days a week. I try and run as much outside as I can, which really only works out once a week or so. I feel good, can't wait to feel better.
So anyways.. what follows below is the originally intended draft post from a few weeks back. I will elaborate on certain points at a later time, but for now.. here it be!!
Their birthdays, and uh.. a mother who promises posts and doesn't deliver delivers really really later??

These past few weeks have left us exhausted. Emotions have run all over the place. We've celebrated 2 birthdays, Chris was gone on business for the first week right after Isabella's surgery (when she DID get an infection). Nana had a heart attack (mild, but a WAKE UP call for all of us, more on that later. Thankfully Chris was able to put his mind at ease on his way up North and stop and see her for a few hours). Last week saw us with 3 nights of company in a row (not that we minded at all, but it is unusual for us). Needless to say, by Saturday night neither of us could keep our eyes open at 7pm.
I'm not really sure that I will be getting to writing a year old post for the boy. Or a nine year old post for the big girl either, for that matter. But eh. No one is really interested in what I have to say, all you people really want are the pictures!!! We didn't have a big birthday bash for the boy (something I am SURE to regret in a few years as he is scrolling through all the old family pics, but he really wasn't into the whole shoving the cake in his face anyhow, and really, what's a party without cake in the face??)..
Isabella had a few friends over for a sleepover. They had a good time, and didn't stay up too late. She was alittle disappointed that her best friend couldn't make it as she was sick, but decided to go ahead with the party anyhow. We are leaving tomorrow to drive her to Grande Prairie to go stay with Mimi and Papa for a week over Easter. She is super pumped about going and says she won't really miss us this time. Hmm. 9 years old = pre-pre-pms? I think so..
