Sydney isn't the only one growing up fast these days (although she lost her second tooth a few days ago, and now has a teeny tiny lisp, hahaha)... We have a little boy in the house, out of nowhere it seems..
He's 99% potty trained (we won't talk about that 1%, ahem). He has to climb in and out of the truck by himself. He can drink out of a cup without spilling or choking anymore, and he speaks and acts much older than his young barely 2 1/2 year old self.
Last weekend, it was time to break down the crib, and set up his new big boy bed. At the same time, I decided his room was due to have a mini makeover. Chris and I have decided to paint the kids rooms, soonish, but for now a mini would have to do.
That change-table has been in this room since the day we moved into this house almost 4 years ago. Notice the gorgeous tinfoil on the window.. also there for the last 4 years. I have started peeling it back over the last week in order to give him time to adjust gradually to the light in his room. And although I did take some of the more girlie decorations down when Sydney moved out and baby Jackson moved in, this room really hasn't changed all that much.
So this is the before post. I have a few tiny details to finish up before posting the after pictures, and tell you all how Jackson has done sleeping in his new big boy bed for the last week. Also.. this is my 500th post! Also.. haven't forgotten about finishing up our trip recaps.. just trying to find the time to sit down and.. remember! Cut me some slack, I'm old.
Glad to hear that Jackson is almost potty trained. Looked forward to seeing the after pics. of his room. Also looking forward to the recaps of your trip. Spent the last week there visiting old friends. Glad to get back and into a routine. Love and miss you all very much.
